Armed with £20, Lauren visited her Nisa Local store to see what ingredients she could pick up to make some healthy air fryer recipes for herself and her family.

Impressively, she picked up all the ingredients to make a Chicken, Roast Potato and Vegetable Dinner for two adults and a toddler, as well as all the items needed to make a Creamy Pasta Bake for two and a Jacket Potato, Cheese & Beans meal for her child the following day! She couldn’t believe how easy it was to pick-up high-quality foods to create nutritious meals and stay within her budget.

What you'll need
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • Tbsp of olive oil
  • Pinch of garlic granules
  • Pinch of paprika
  • Pinch of mixed herbs
  • 2 x large roast potatoes
  • Packet of frozen mixed vegetables 
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Method
Step 1

Wash and peel your potatoes, before par-boiling them in a pan of hot water until soft.

In a bowl, season your chicken breasts with garlic granules, paprika and mixed herbs. *Remember to wash your hands well after handling the raw chicken.

Place your seasoned chicken breasts in your air fryer for 20 minutes at 200 degrees. Place the potatoes in your air fryer for 18 minutes, before removing, cutting in half, buttering, sprinkling with grated cheese and then placing back in the air fryer for a further 2 minutes.

Step 4

Place the mixed frozen veg in your microwave for 4 minutes.

Once out of the air fryer, cut your chicken breasts into slices and serve on a plate with your potatoes and mixed vegetables. Enjoy!
