Nisa Local Featherstone Makes a Difference for Featherstone Lions ARLFC

The Nisa Local store on Priory Road, Featherstone has donated £800 to Featherstone Lions ARLFC through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity, to fund training tops for the Under 14 “Lionesses".

This donation is the third made by the store through the charity, made possible thanks to the support of local shoppers, purchasing selected products in store.

Featherstone Lions are an amateur rugby league club from Featherstone, West Yorkshire who play in the National Conference League and the CMS Yorkshire League Division 3, while the juniors (U7 - U18) participate in the Yorkshire Junior & Youth League.

Making a Difference Locally is a charity established to support local communities, allowing Nisa-affiliated retailers to support local causes that matter to them with charitable donations. Every time a customer purchases an item as part of the Making a Difference Locally scheme, a proportion of the cost is added to the store’s charity fund, which goes on to be distributed to local causes and organisations.

Andy Bell, coach of the Under 14s Lionesses, commented: “Thank you to Tony and the team at Nisa; I'm sure the new post-training tops will help to keep us warm during the winter months.”

Tony Singh, owner of Nisa Local Featherstone, added: “It's again an honour and a privilege to help and support another worthy cause in our community. It's great to see young people from the community doing something positive and, like our team at Nisa, working as a team to deliver a common goal. We wish the Lions and Lionesses every success for the future.”
