Nisa Local St Neots donates £500 for new rugby kits to St Neots Rugby Club
Nisa Local St Neots, a convenience store owned and operated by TYS Retail, has donated £500 to St Neots Rugby Club through Nisa's charity Making a Difference Locally (MADL). The donation will be used to purchase new rugby kits for the club's youth teams.
"We are delighted to support St Neots Rugby Club," said Leon Swanwick, Store Manager at Nisa Local St Neots. "The club does a great job of providing opportunities for young people in our community to get involved in rugby. We hope our donation will help the club continue to grow and thrive."
St Neots Rugby Club is a community-based club that has been in existence for over 100 years. The club offers rugby platforms for players of all ages and abilities.
"We are very grateful to Nisa Local for their donation," said Phil Yates, president of St Neots Rugby Club. "The money will be used to purchase new rugby kits for our youth teams. Our current kits are old and worn out, and they are not representative of the quality of rugby we play at St Neots Rugby Club. The new kits will give our players a sense of pride and belonging, and they will help us to attract new players to the club."
The donation from MADL is a significant boost for St Neots Rugby Club. The club is currently looking to expand its youth development programs and the donation will help the club make that happen.
"We are excited to use this donation to grow our youth development programs," said Yates. "We believe that rugby is a great sport for young people, and we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to get involved."
Making a Difference Locally is part of Nisa’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves. Since its inception, the program has donated over £16 million to local charities and community organisations.

Nisa Local St Neot’s is a convenience store located near Peterborough and has been a Nisa retailer for over four years. The store offers a wide variety of groceries, household items, and other convenience products. Nisa Local St Neot’s is committed to supporting its local community and has so far donated over £3,700 into the community through MADL.
MADL raises funds in Nisa partner stores from sales of all Co-op and Heritage own-label products, with a percentage going into a virtual fund for retailers to donate. Additional funds can also be raised via in-store collecting tins and clothing banks.
