Nisa’s charity holds event for winners of £100k giveaway

Winners of a £100k competition to mark the 10th birthday of Nisa’s charity attended a celebratory event in Leeds yesterday.

Making a Difference Locally (MADL) held the event as a networking and learning opportunity for the winners of its biggest ever competition, which formed part of MADL’s 10th birthday celebrations and offered prizes of marketing packages worth £10,000 to 10 small charities to help them to improve their marketing, reach more funders and beneficiaries and become more sustainable.

The event comprised of PR, digital, fundraising and bid-writing masterclasses from industry experts to help the winning charities to get the most out of their increased marketing budgets; whilst providing a platform for them to network.

Nisa’s Head of Charity, Kate Carroll, said: “We were delighted to meet the people behind our winning charities and add further value through advice and tips to help them to get the most from their marketing funds.

“All of the causes are doing such incredible work, despite the many challenges small charities face and we hope the extra support will be of real benefit to them, both in the short term and for years to come.”
