Old Town Service Station rebranded into a Nisa Local convenience store

Old Town Service Station located in Eastbourne reopened last month following the successful refitting and rebranding of its retail offering under the Nisa Local fascia.

The 1,150 sq ft site has been transformed into a modern and contemporary convenience store.

Paul Salvidge, Director at Pricewatch, said: “The inviting new look, combined with great offers and promotions, has been a huge success with our existing customers as well as winning over new customers.”

A key priority of the store was to expand product choice for customers. The refurbished store now has an extensive range of new products, promotions and services including the introduction of food to go with Country Choice and Swan Bakery, Uber Eats, and plans to expand with Deliveroo.

Old Town Service Station now offers improved ranges and new brands like Costa Coffee, Rollover Hot Dogs and Skwishee

The store is one of four Pricewatch forecourts already rebranded as a Nisa Local, with plans to expand the symbol fascia in the future. Forecourts in Storrington and Lewes have also undergone a significant refurbishment and rebranding to the Nisa symbol fascia.

“Nisa has been a fantastic support throughout the refurbs by providing merchandisers to support our team, suggesting new product ranges and planning the shop layout effectively to achieve the best format for customers,” Paul added.

Kevin Lear, Store Development Manager at Nisa said: “We have successfully transformed the spaces across all three of the forecourt stores, all undergoing considerable changes with both the store layouts and offering. The spaces were all updated into a more usable and customer-friendly environment and appear extremely modern and contemporary.”

Old Town Service Station continues to be active in its community and will be working with Nisa’s Making a Different Locally charity to raise money for local charity You Raise Me Up, who support families that have suffered from the loss of a loved one.

The fundraising took place on Tuesday, 11 July, with support from key brands such as Blockhead, Mondelez, Coke/Monster, Costa Coffee, Country Choice, Ferrero, Harvey’s Brewery, Heineken, KP Snacks, Rollover Hotdogs, Skwishee, Springvale Foods and Unilever.

Representatives from each brand joined Old Town in its fundraising with free samples for customers and also donated prizes for the fundraising activities on the day. Customers enjoyed free Costa Coffee and Skwishee all day.

Debbie Harrington, representing You Raise Me Up, added: “We had a lovely day at Old Town Service Station alongside MADL to relaunch the refurbished Nisa store.

“We were lucky enough to be invited along as the chosen charity to benefit from the day. For a donation to the charity there was a balloon pop with some amazing prizes and homemade cake from our Community Café.

“The money raised for us will be spent on one to one counselling sessions for bereaved families who have suffered the loss of a child aged 16-25 and for that we are very grateful. Thank you to MADL for your continued support of our charity.”
