TOUT’S Supports FareShare Southwest with £5,000 donation

Bristol retailer TOUT’S have donated £5,000 from their store on Bristol Road in Nailsea to FareShare Southwest to enable them to continue fighting hunger and reduce food waste.

The donation was made via the Making a Difference Locally charity, and will support the retail group’s goal of providing one million meals to locals in need.

FareShare Southwest works with community groups in and around Bristol city, supporting over 170 organisations in delivering a food service to those who need it most and giving support on nutrition, food hygiene and more.

Making a Difference Locally enables Nisa-affiliated retailers to support local causes with charitable donations and raises funds through the sale of all Co-op and Heritage own-label products in-store, with a percentage going into a virtual fund for retailers to donate locally.

Rob Tanner, Retail and Group Marketing Director for TOUT’S, said: “We are committed to providing one million meals to help support local families in need."

“Alongside our Co-op and Heritage ranges, we also make a donation into our fund each time a product is bought from one of our local suppliers, so our customers can feel confident that we are buying and supporting locally wherever we can."

“We are only at the start of our mission, but after this latest donation we will have provided over 40,000 meals so far and have big plans this year to start to grow that number more quickly."

“We would like to thank our customers for their continued support through the purchases of own brand and local products in our stores, as without this, such community donations would not be possible.”
