Celebrating success
Awards season is upon us and Nisa certainly has cause to celebrate after receiving accolades at two of the sectors most prestigious occasions.
The Convenience Awards 2021 took place on Tuesday 14th September at which Nisa was revealed as the Shoppers’ Favourite Forecourt Fascia and the Shoppers’ Favourite Convenience Fascia for BWS.

The event also saw four awards presented to Nisa partners, recognising the fantastic efforts of some of the most exceptional independent retailers who Nisa are very proud to work with:
Convenience Awards 2021 Small Convenience Store of the Year - Ash’s Shop, Nisa Local, Fenstanton, Cambs
Convenience Awards 2021 Large Convenience Store of the Year - TOUT’S Langford, Bristol
Convenience Awards 2021 Retailers’ Retailer of the Year - H & Jodie’s Nisa Local, Walsall
Convenience Awards 2021 Community Retailer of the Year - H & Jodie’s Nisa Local, Walsall
Nisa CEO, Ken Towle, said: “We are very proud to receive such recognition and especially so because Nisa’s awards are based on the views of the customers who shop in our partners’ stores."
“The awards bestowed on Nisa and also those our partners won, are a real testament to all the fantastic retailers we work with and we congratulate everyone and thank them all for their ongoing hard work and support.”
Meanwhile, on Tuesday 21st September the Retail Industry Awards 2021 were held in London and Nisa was named Symbol/Franchise Group of the Year, for the second year running, fighting off some stiff competition to take the title.

The awards judges were very complimentary about Nisa, saying: “Nisa are making the best use of Co-op own-label and their growth in store numbers is really impressive."
“Their financials are strong; member growth is impressive and the testimonies from members really brought that home. This is a well-rounded symbol operator that delivers good value to its retailers.”

Ken Towle said: “We’re very proud to have received this award on behalf of all our partners and colleagues and to receive it for the second year running, especially during such challenging times for the industry, makes it even more special.”
