Co-op own brand to bring greater rewards for Nisa partners
Nisa retailers continue to buy into Co-op products, with 90 per cent of Partners now choosing to take from the own brand range, which accounts for more than 13 per cent of all Nisa sales.
Fresh Rewards, which launched in April, provide the opportunity for partners to unlock up to 5.5% rebate. The entry threshold for a 1% rebate starts at £4,000 and Partners can earn up to 4% rebate by spending £12,000 or more. Additional benefits are also available for being a Nisa fascia store.
Nisa Partners can now unlock even greater value by stocking Co-op own brand products, through its new rebate model, Fresh Rewards. Partners can earn an additional rebate of 0.5%, and up to 4.5% for stocking an agreed level of Co-op own brand products, based on their weekly spend.
With access to over 2,250 Co-op own-brand products, Nisa is the only wholesaler to offer access to such a strong own-brand range, further strengthening its partner proposition.
Alongside its industry-leading levels of availability and competitive prices, access to the multi-award-winning 100% British meat and Fairtrade products provides Nisa customers with an everyday low price point versus the brands.
Tom Highland, The Highland Group, said: “Having the Co-op range has helped us drive basket spend, volumes and actually helped us double the turnover of the store.”
Sunny Mann, Nisa Local Mansfield, said: “We stock 900 Co-op lines and fresh has completely changed our business. Customers come to us now, they don’t have to go to the supermarket and we’ve doubled our basket spend.”
Richard Kent, Evington Village Store, said: “We were the only partner in the area to be offering a credible Co-op range in our store and it was really important to us to get to that level. The margins are good, it is a well-known and trusted brand, and it has been very successful for us. So much so that we are always looking to add to it and offer more choice to our customers.”
Dan Brown, owner of Nisa Local Pinkie Farm in Musselburgh, said: “The fresh range in Co-op own label is excellent and allows us to compete at the highest level so shoppers are coming to us before they even think about going to a supermarket.”
Ayaz Alam, Trading Director at Nisa, said: “Co-op own brand products have been enormously popular with our retailers and their shoppers and our best in market fresh has helped double store turnover for our partners. It allows our partners to compete and capitalise on the sales of stocking an award-winning own brand range at a time when shopping missions are increasingly changing.”
