Co-op relaunches Food-to-Go range with new, more sustainable packaging

Great news! Co-op has relaunched its Food-To-Go packaging design just in time for summer, with a new vibrant and eco-friendly design that’s perfect for the sunshine season.

Thanks to the award-winning range, lunchtimes can be reloaded with fun and flavour, with a number of convenient and tasty choices to try. Choose from the nation’s favourite sandwiches - such as a classic BLT made with 100% British meat, or prawn mayo using responsibly sourced prawns, plus, a variety of vegan options, such as the GRO Falafel and Houmous wrap.

Plus, there’s plenty of great snacks and sides to choose from, like healthy-option fruit pots, or tempting millionaire or flapjacks bars for a delicious treat.

Robert Thompson, Packaging Manager at the Co-op, said: “We're really pleased that we’ve been able to remove a significant amount of packaging on our Food-To-Go products. "

"By changing the packaging on the products and removing all single use cutlery in favour of wooden we’ll be removing around 274 tonnes of plastic across our sandwiches and salads. Our teams have worked hard to deliver what is a really positive step forward for packaging.”

With such exciting developments, it’s no wonder the Co-op Food-To-Range won the Sammies Convenience Retailer of the Year Award for the 8th consecutive year. You be the judge! Try the Co-op Food-To-Go range for yourself, available at participating Nisa stores.
