Early start for Easter gifting

Nisa is starting early for the Easter season to help independent retailers maximise sales for the seasonal event.

In a bid to capture as much custom as possible during Easter 2019, key confectionery lines have been made available to Nisa partners from January to help drive sales as soon as possible.

According to industry research, retailers who started Easter early last year, saw a growth of almost 11 per cent* in the fast start period with a million units of Easter chocolate sold every day in the early trading period. (*Figures from Mondelez)

And with shoppers particularly enjoying Easter products which are not available all year round, Nisa is supplying a variety of chocolate eggs and Easter themed confectionery at competitive pricing from January through to April.

A selection of small Easter eggs is now available in Nisa stores on a three for £3 deal comprising Mars Malteaser Mini Bunny, Cadbury Dairy Milk, M&M’s and Nestle Milkybar.

Small bags of Cadbury mini crème eggs, Oreo eggs and Daim eggs are being offered to shoppers at £1 each and individual Kinder eggs are on at 2 for £1.

Additional Easter lines will be made available in the coming promotional periods as Easter approaches.

Head of Marketing at Nisa, Philippe Rondepierre, said: “More and more shoppers are buying into Easter and, after Christmas, it is the second most important event in the retail calendar.

“Those retailers who set out their stalls early are likely to get the highest return as trade builds up towards the Easter weekend.

“Our Easter activity has started with the early season and as we progress through February and March, we will be adding in more lines at competitive prices, to help drive footfall for Nisa partners.”
