Hurtling ahead with horticulture

Nisa partners are planning for a floral future with their sights now firmly set on some of next year’s key retail events.

Whilst ensuring they have everything shoppers need right now, Nisa retailers are also looking much further ahead to Mother’s Day and Easter 2021 with the latest horticulture pre-sell event now live.

With Mother’s Day the biggest selling event when it comes to flowers and plants, Nisa has an enviable range available for partners to order, available on a pre-sell basis from now until mid-October.

The collection consists of 29 Co-op branded flower products offering beautiful bouquets, plants and a gift bag containing a plant and a mini bottle of prosecco.

Josie Bates, wholesale category controller at Nisa, said: “Last year, despite Mother’s Day falling at a time when the country entered into lockdown, the sales in Mother’s Day flowers performed extremely well, especially given the circumstances.

“Sales were up by 73% year on year and since going into lockdown, we have seen growth continue to strive in this category, with credit to the job our suppliers continue to do in supplying fresh and great quality flowers.”

To further encourage partners to make the most of the sales opportunity, Nisa is holding a competition for the best Mother’s Day flower display with the winning retailer receiving £100 in Nisa credit.
And following on from Mother’s Day in mid-March, the Easter range of flowers is also now on pre-sell to Nisa’s retailers with 12 Co-op flower bouquets and plant lines to choose from.

The range will feature beautiful classic yellow and white colours with a modern twist of blue in some of the bouquets.
