Let the fun begin!

Nisa is helping its retailers to make the most of the growing popularity of gin with some great deals on a wide range of the fashionable spirit.

To mark World Gin Day on Saturday June 9th, the very first Nisa Gin Festival was launched on Monday May 28th and is running until June 17th with a range of premium gins on offer to Nisa partners to help drive footfall and increase spending in their stores.

With demand for the juniper flavoured spirit soaring, Nisa retailers have been snapping up the competitive prices on lines including the new Beefeater Pink Gin, Plymouth Gin and Tanqueray Rangpur Distilled Gin.

And with 47 million bottles of gin bought in the UK in 2017 many Nisa retailers are keen to ensure they are on trend and the Gin Festival is a welcome addition to the Nisa events calendar.

Harj Dhasee, who runs Mickleton Stores in Gloucestershire, installed a gin shelf earlier this year in recognition of the sales boom he experienced in 2017.

He said: “Last year we sold £5,500 worth of gin, up from £1,500 the year before and we get great margin on some of the premium and craft gin ranges.”

Trading controller for spirits at Nisa, Natalie Duncan, said: “Gin sales at Nisa have enjoyed double digit growth year on year. We now supply a range which includes some 50 gins including popular brands such as Gordon’s, Beefeater and Sipsmith through to a wide selection of craft gins.

“And we have responded to feedback from our partners by making 15 bottles available on a single bottle basis meaning smaller retailers needn’t invest in a full case in order to offer a good variety to their customers.”
