New products and packaging for Co-op Food-to-Go range

Nisa’s independent retailers can offer even more to their Food-to-Go shoppers this summer thanks to the re-launch of Co-op’s range with new products as well as packaging.

As part of the summer 2022 range, available to Nisa retailers directly from Nisa’s central distribution, a selection of new sandwiches and salads have been added, inspired by a wide range of global flavours.

Nutritious wraps, subs and tasty pasta salad pots have also been included in the range as well as a few indulgent sweet treats.

In a bid to make the range as sustainable as possible, the Co-op has also significantly reduced the amount of packaging on its food-to-go products and removed all single-use plastic cutlery in favour of wooden sporks.

Jonny Lambert, wholesale category lead for Co-op, said: “With more people out and about now, there is a greater demand for food to go so it is perfect timing for the launch of the all-new Co-op range."

“And the relaunch of the packaging design also comes just in time for summer, with a new vibrant and eco-friendly design that’s perfect for the sunshine season and attractive for the consumer.”

Furthermore, the Co-op Food-To range recently won Convenience Retailer of the Year Award at the Sandwich and Food to Go Industry Awards (The Sammies) for the eighth consecutive year, meaning Nisa partners can be sure they are offering top quality products to their customers.

Alongside access to the new range, a wealth of insights, trends and top tips on maximising Food-to-Go sales have been shared with Nisa partners via a special Category Talk video hosted on the Nisa partner ordering site.

“Food-to-Go remains a key mission for the convenience market and with this new range available to Nisa partners we believe it places them in a great position to drive more sales in their stores this summer,” added Jonny.
