Nisa partners at the forefront of innovation and new opportunities
Nisa partners can now be involved in some of the latest initiatives in the independent retail sector following the introduction of a new proactive approach to trials.
As part of a drive to support partners develop businesses in new areas a role has been created within the retail team structure at Nisa to ensure no opportunity is missed to help drive sales for independent retailers.
The trials manager is responsible for instigating new ideas among the Nisa partners, ensuring opportunities are robustly tested and where successful rolled out efficiently to allow other partners to benefit.
Tim Norton, an existing Nisa colleague who took up the new post earlier this year, is working with partners operating established flagship Nisa stores, to roll out an extensive range of innovative and creative solutions to rigorously test before committing to further involvement.
Initiatives already undertaken include a biscuit trial with major supplier pladis designed to drive sales of the key category in partner stores and most recently the launch of an Augmented Reality voucher scheme with technology company Jisp, which is being trialled in 12 Nisa stores nationally.
Head of Central Operations at Nisa, James Taylor, said: “The introduction of a dedicated trial manager to the team enables us to focus on the opportunities that come our way and get involved at the very earliest stage in many exciting initiatives that help to keep our partners ahead in the sector."

Trials Manager Tim Norton said: “While the role is still fairly new, we have already undertaken a number of interesting trials in very different business areas and with more in the pipeline, we’re ensuring Nisa retailers are among the first in the sector to introduce successful and innovative solutions that help to grow their business.”
