Success for Nisa retailers at the 2023 Scottish Local Retailer Awards

A number of Nisa retailers enjoyed a successful evening at the 21st edition of the Scottish Local Retailer Awards held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.

Nisa retailers were shortlisted nine times across a host of categories with three stores taking home well deserved triumphs and others being recognised as highly commended.

Nisa Retailer Julie-Ann Whyte (pictured) received special recognition on the evening with the Unsung Hero award for her hard work and dedication to Whytes of New Pitsligo both within the industry and community.

That wasn’t the only award of the evening for Julie-Ann with Whytes of New Pitsligo also being named Break & Bakery Retailer of the Year and a finalist for Scottish Brands of the Year.

Greens of Ellon were awarded highly commended in the same Scottish Brands category whilst Greens of Dundee were also finalists for Off-Trade Retailer of the Year and Best New Store.

Also finalists for Best New Store were Nisa Local City Store but further success was to come with the Glasgow store named Confectionary Retailer of the Year.

Nisa retailer The Broughton Market took the Fresh & Chilled Retailer of the Year crown ahead of some tough competition whilst Ascona Refinery – Grangemouth was named a finalist in the Forecourt Retailer of the Year category.

There were some fantastic stores listed across all of the categories and it was lovely seeing so many familiar faces.
