Baked cream cheese wontons
A modern twist on a traditional Chinese dish, these quick and easy cream cheese wontons will become your go-to comfort food.
- 113g softened cream cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 16 wonton wrappers
- A little cooking spray
Preheat oven to 200°Cgas mark 6 180°C/fan
Mix together the cream cheese, garlic salt, and spring onions.
Place 1/2 tsp cream cheese mixture in the centre of a wonton wrapper.
Wet your finger with water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold one corner to diagonally meet the other. Gently press together so the wrapper sticks. Repeat process with remaining corners.
Your wonton should now be neatly wrapped with the top coming to a rough point.
Place the wontons on non-stick baking paper, sprayed with cooking spray.
You can also spray the wontons themselves to help them brown.
Bake for 7 - 12 minutes, or until brown and crispy.
Enjoy with a little dip of soy sauce.
