Chocolate chip cookies
A timeless classic that you’ll return to over and over again, everyone should have a favourite choc chip cookie recipe and this is ours.
- 225g unsalted butter, softened
- 110g caster sugar
- 275g plain flour
- 75g milk chocolate chips
Makes 15 - 20 cookies
Preheat the oven at 170°C/150 fan/gas mark 3.
Cream the butter in a large bowl or in a food mixer until soft. Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Sift the flour into the mixture and add the chocolate chips. Fold the flour into the batter until all mixed in.
Using your hands, make walnut-sized balls and place them slightly apart from each other on a lined tray. Flatten the balls and bake them in the oven for about 15 mins until golden brown and slightly firm on top.
Place the cookies onto a cooling rack and leave them there for around 15 mins then serve once cooled.
