Chocolate cornflake cake
Our quick and easy chocolate cornflake cake is a fun bake for small kids to get involved in – mixing the chocolate and cornflakes makes for messy fun!
- 180g cornflakes
- 200g milk, dark or white chocolate
- 6 tablespoons of golden syrup
- 120g unsalted butter
- 1 bag of mini eggs
Break up the chocolate into small pieces and cut the butter into chunks.
Put the butter and chocolate into a bowl and melt over a pan of simmering water.
As the butter and chocolate melts, stir in the syrup until it’s all combined.
Transfer the melted mixture into a pan and scoop in the cornflakes.
Stir gently until all the cornflakes are covered.
Spoon the mixture into a bowl and then place the bowl upside down on a baking tray or plate
Store in the fridge to set for half an hour
Decorate with mini eggs and serve.
This mixture can also be easily converted into cupcakes. All you need are some bun cases and the right tin to spoon the mixture into.
