Creamed Spinach

Our nutmeg spiced creamed spinach makes a tasty side for a Sunday lunch or Christmas dinner.

What you'll need
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 125g spinach, washed
  • 200ml double cream
  • Ground nutmeg, to taste
  • Salt and freshly-ground black pepper
Method
Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the garlic for 1 - 2 minutes. Add the spinach and continue to fry until the spinach has wilted.

Step 2

Pour in the cream and season with nutmeg, salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 3

Continue to heat for 2 - 3 minutes, then blend the mixture together.

Step 4

Spoon into a bowl and garnish with extra grated nutmeg.
