What you'll need
  • 500g Co-op lasagne sheets
  • 500g Co-op British beef mince
  • 500g Co-op Italian passata
  • 430g Co-op white lasagne sauce
  • 1 Co-op onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • Grated cheddar cheese (as much or as little as you’d like!)
Method
Step 1.

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6.

Chop the onion finely and fry over a low heat until transparent.

Add the mince to the pan and use a chopping motion to ensure there are no large lumps as it cooks.

Once the mince is brown, add the passata and salt and pepper to taste. When the meat and sauce are bubbling gently, turn off the heat.

Step 3.

Place the lasagne in the oven for 30 minutes.

When it’s cooked, the cheese will be golden brown and you will be able to slide a knife through the pasta sheets without resistance.

Serve with some veggies or a side salad and enjoy.

Step 2.

Take an oven-safe dish and add a thin layer of the meat and sauce. Then cover the meat and sauce with a layer of lasagne sheets.

Try to not let the sheets overlap to ensure they are soft once cooked.

Repeat the meat and pasta layers another two times, or until the dish is almost at the top. On top of the final layer of pasta, pour the white sauce over.

Add your grated cheese in an even layer across the top of the white sauce.

Top tip

You can also add breadcrumbs to your cheese layer for an extra crunchy top.
