 
            Easy pain au chocolat
This super speedy breakfast treat can be whipped up with just a few ingredients. Enjoy a chocolatey pastry in no time!

      What you'll need
      
  - 500g puff pastry block
- 100g dark chocolate, broken into small pieces
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Icing sugar, to dust
        Method
          
  
              Step 1.
            
          Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas mark 6.
              Step 2.
            
          Lightly dust a work surface with the icing sugar and roll out the pastry to a rectangle.

Cut into three strips lengthways, then cut each strip into four smaller rectangles.
              Step 3.
            
          Lay a line of chocolate across the middle of each rectangle. Fold the pastry over the chocolate and firmly press on the edges to seal.

Place the pastries on two baking trays, making sure they're spaced apart.
              Step 4.
            
      Brush each pastry with some of the beaten egg then dust with icing sugar.

Bake in the preheated oven for around 20-25 minutes until golden.

Serve warm and enjoy.
