Full English breakfast

Everyone has their favourite version of a fry up. Whether you’re a black pudding purist, a mushroom hater or staunchly anti-tomato, pick and choose your ingredients as you like.

What you'll need
  • 2 - 3 rashers of bacon
  • 2 sausages
  • 1 flat field mushroom
  • 1 ripe beef tomato
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 tin of baked beans
Step 1.

Heat the grill to medium-high.

Step 2.

Slice your tomato in half and wash the mushrooms.

Step 3.

Grill your sausages for 15 minutes, occasionally turning so they’re browned on all sides.

Step 4.

After 5 minutes, add the tomatoes cut side down and mushrooms. Cook for 10 minutes.

Step 5.

Take it all out from under the grill, and keep warm in the oven.

Step 6.

Meanwhile, heat a large frying pan and 1 tbsp of oil. Fry the bacon until crispy and keep warm in the oven.

Step 7.

Fry the bread for 2-3 minutes on either side, until it’s golden brown. Keep warm.

Step 8.

Heat up your baked beans.

Step 9.

While the baked beans are warming, add another tbsp of oil to the frying pan and crack in your eggs. Fry until the white has set and yolks are still runny. To make sure all the white sets, spoon over oil from the pan.

Dish up and enjoy!
