
Homemade dog treats

What you'll need
- 1 carrot, peeled and grated
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and grated
- 50g oats
- 300g wheat-free flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp peanut butter (not artificially sweetened, as this can be harmful to your dog)
Method
Makes 12 treats
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 180C/160 fan/gas mark 4 and place baking paper on a flat baking tray.
Step 2.
Mix all ingredients together in an electric mixer with a paddle attachment until the mixture is dough-like.
Step 3.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for roughly 5 minutes until the dough is smooth.
Step 4.
Roll the dough out to around 1cm thick.
Step 5.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut out the treats and place them on a baking tray.
Step 6.
Bake the treats for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Step 7.
The treats can be kept in a sealed container for up to one week.
