Homemade dog treats
Give your canine friends a tasty healthy snack with our organic peanut butter dog treats recipe. Packed full of goodness and super easy to make, you’ll have a hard time keeping your pooches paws off these.
- 1 carrot, peeled and grated
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and grated
- 50g oats
- 300g wheat-free flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp peanut butter (not artificially sweetened, as this can be harmful to your dog)
Makes 12 treats
Preheat your oven to 180C/160 fan/gas mark 4 and place baking paper on a flat baking tray.
Mix all ingredients together in an electric mixer with a paddle attachment until the mixture is dough-like.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for roughly 5 minutes until the dough is smooth.
Roll the dough out to around 1cm thick.
Use a bone-shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut out the treats and place them on a baking tray.
Bake the treats for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
The treats can be kept in a sealed container for up to one week.
