Honey mustard parsnips
Roast the perfect honey mustard parsnips - a golden delicious treat to add to your Sunday or Christmas dinner and super-easy to make.
- 1kg parsnips
- 2 tsp English mustard
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 4 tbsp oil
- 3 tsp clear honey
- A little salt and pepper
Peel and chop your parsnips into quarters and then boil in a saucepan for 5 minutes to soften.
Preheat the oven to 220°C/200C fan/gas mark 7
Combine mustard powder with flour and season with salt and pepper.
Add you parsnips to the mustard mixture and toss thoroughly until they’re fully coated.
Put your parsnips on an oiled baking tray and drizzle a little more oil on top.
Roast for 30 minutes until they’re crisp and golden.
Remove from the oven and drizzle some honey on top of the parsnips, making sure all have a thin coating. Then, return to the oven for a further 5 minutes to allow the honey to set. Serve!
