The limit is your imagination, and they’re perfect for lunch, tea, as a snack - and maybe even breakfast! Our recipe is simple to follow, and easy as 1-2-3 - so get the little ones involved!
- 6 slices of bread (or however many you want - just make sure to increase or reduce the below amounts accordingly!)
- 85g tomato sauce
- 170 cherry tomatoes
- 170g Mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp oregano
- 5 fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)
- Your favourite toppings - perhaps some ham, pepperoni, sweetcorn, or - if you’re a fan - pineapple?!
Heat your oven to 200C. Slice your cheese and cherry tomatoes. Arrange the slices of bread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Spread the tomato sauce over one side of each piece of bread. Sprinkle the oregano over.
Add the slices of cheese to each piece of bread, followed by your favourite toppings.
Pop them in the oven until the cheese melts - usually around 10 minutes. Sprinkle the basil on top and enjoy!
