How to make Breakfast Burgers
All the good stuff about a fry-up breakfast between two buns - a truly inspirational delicacy, we’re sure you’ll agree. Whether breakfast in bed or a brunch treat, our step-by-step guide will help the kids to give dad a dream start to Father’s Day.
These ingredients create one breakfast burger, so double, treble or quadruple to serve even more!
- 1 beef burger
- 1 egg
- 2 slices of bacon
- A handful of grated mature cheddar
- 1 set of burger buns
- Salt and pepper
- Large cos lettuce leaf
On a frying pan or grill, cook the bacon until crispy.
Cook the beef burger - but be careful to not over-do it! There’s nothing worse than tough meat first thing in the morning…
Slightly toast the burger buns on the grill.
Prepare the egg sunny-side-up, slightly runny. Nothing nicer than that yolk cascading down the side of the burger...
Take the bottom of the burger bun, and stack it up in the following order: burger, grated cheese, bacon, egg, a little salt and pepper, followed by the top bun. A skewer stick may be needed to keep it all together!
There you go! Serve up to one delighted dad.
Feeling daring? Stack it up even more - hash browns slip perfectly between the lettuce and the meat...
