How to Make Nutella Flapjacks
A Delicious Chocolate and Hazelnut Treat
This Nutella slice is t-oat-ally delicious. The creamy, nutty Nutella is sandwiched between two oaty layers, like a Nutella flapjack sandwich. It’s a winning recipe that’s quick and easy to make.
- 500g Nutella or Hazelnut & Chocolate Spread
- 2.5 cups plain flour
- 2.5 cups of porridge oats
- 0.5 tbsp salt
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 350g butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 170C. Line a 8x13in baking tray with baking paper and set it aside.
Place the baking powder, flour, salt, brown sugar and oats in a big bowl. Stir them together.
Pour and stir in the melted butter, combining the two.
Set aside 2 cups of the mixture. Press the remainder into the bottom of the pan.
Heat the Nutella for approximately 60 seconds and pour over the base.
Put the extra oat mixture over the nutella, then baking until golden (30 minutes maximum). Leave to cool and cut into squares.
