Easy overnight oats
Overnight oats makes for a nutritious breakfast so it’s a delicious way to start your day.
- 100ml milk or water
- 50g plain rolled oats
- 50g berries
- 2 tbsp yoghurt
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- Drizzle of honey
Overnight oats develop delicious flavour and texture when they’re left…well overnight! So the night before (or up to two days before) you want them for breakfast is the perfect time to make them.
Stir the cinnamon, nutmeg, milk (or water) and a pinch of salt into your oats.
And that’s all you need to do the night before!
When you’re ready to eat your oats, stir through the yoghurt to loosen them up. Top with your favourite berries and a squeeze of honey for sweetness.
The best thing about overnight oats is that it’s really easy to mix up the flavours. Peanut or almond butter, Nutella, bananas, pumpkin seeds all make delicious additions too.
