Kid-friendly Breakfast: Peanut Butter & Blueberry Banana Bears on Toast
There’s scarcely enough time to think on those busy school mornings, so this simple recipe might just be genius. Introducing: kid-friendly peanut butter, blueberry and bananas on toast. This’ll get the kids sitting down to create something that’ll start their day off great - with some of their five-a-day, too.
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 slices bread
- 1 banana, chopped
- Raisins or blueberries for decoration (optional)
Toast your bread how you like it - then, spread on the peanut butter (about 1 tbsp per slice).
Apply the chopped banana in rows. Alternately, dot three banana pieces on each slice of bread to make a muzzle and ears, then add your blueberries/raisins on as eyes and a nose to make lovely peanut butter and banana bears! Genius.
Top tip: If you’re super short on time, prep the bananas, berries and toast, then hand over to the kids: let them have some fun making faces/layering the banana slices themselves!
