The Ultimate Custard Cream Blondie Recipe

What you'll need
  • 175g butter
  • 200g muscovado sugar
  • 125g golden caster sugar
  • 4 tbsp custard powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 15 custard creams
  • 150g white chocolate
Method
1.

Add the butter, muscovado sugar, golden caster sugar and custard powder to a saucepan and melt gently until the sugar is dissolved

Leave to cool for 5 minutes

Stir in each egg, then add the vanilla, flour and a pinch of salt

Stir in 10 of the custard creams (crumbled) and the white chocolate (cut into chunks)

5.

Add the mixture to a lined baking tin and pop in the oven for 30 minutes at 180°C

6.

Cool thoroughly before slicing into snack-sized chunks!
